Liked Banksy's Flower Bomber?  Love fashion?  Then have a look at this new work - these fun yet thought provoking illustrations by irreverent fashion satirist, AleXsandro Palombo, entitled 'Special Indignados' - over on his Humor Chic site.  While you're at it, have a look at his 'Anna Wintour, Who Killed Bambi?' anti-fur collection too - OUCH. NB. the project below has not been finished due to AleXsandro's ill health - wishing you better soon, fella. X

As readers of my Huffington Post UK blog will know, I'm a massive fan of NYLA Boutique, the online fashion and accessories store which specialises in bringing the wares of hot new design talent from New York and LA to the UK and beyond.

Tomorrow, Thursday 27th November, they're having a one day flash sale with 50% off selected labels including the brilliant Tolani scarf collection, and free next day delivery if you order before 4pm.  I can vouch for their beautiful black tissue and satin ribbon packaging which make these perfect gifts so it's worth thinking about stocking up for Christmas presents so you can spend the money you'll save on a party frock nearer the time :)

Fashion's hardest working designer, Chanel and Fendi's ingenious visionary, Karl Lagerfeld is launching a new affordable fashion range called Karl which will include everything from tees and trousers to sweats and biker jackets, with prices between £50 and £390.

What amazing news to wake up to.  Even better, it launches on 25th January 2012 so remember to save that Christmas money!

WINTER WOOLIES: LOVING FLORENCE + FRED'S GIANT POMPOM BEANIES

How cute are these? As readers may know I love a pom pom so had to sneak a couple of these Florence + Fred chunky knit, giant bobble hats in my basket during a Tesco run the other day.  Aren't they adorable?  And such a bargain at only £6 each. They come in cream, wine and a strawberry yoghurt pink and are super soft and stretchy.  The only downside is that they will almost certainly give you hat hair (but that's only if you take them off).

Available from larger Tesco stores nationwide or you can get the pink one online here.

LUNCHTIME LOVE FOR STARBUCKS' NEW BISTRO BOXES

OK so this is a bit random given it’s not about fashion, footwear or fancy products but it impressed me so I figured it was worth a mention.  Starbucks has just launched its new lunch menu which includes some brilliant new Bistro Boxes.  As a non-fish-eating veggie who's generally tied to her desk, I’m finding it increasingly hard to find any decent, healthy takeout food from the big chains given they generally only have one purely vegetarian salad option which, in my experience, often sells out.  This morning as I was feeding my Frappuccino habit I spotted these bento style lunch boxes and was delighted to see that there are TWO veggie-friendly choices – Falafel Mezze and Cheese & Oat Cake.  Billed as 'a fresh assortment of deliciously wholesome meals and snacks' the other boxes on offer included Cured Ham Hock, Chicken and Rice Noodle, and Antipasti.

Whilst salivating at the little cheese platter, I chose the lighter falafel option (£3.95 to take out) and it was great!  Two fresh puffy white mini pittas, some delicious tzatziki, moist mini falafel and tabblouleh that comes with kalamata olives and what are hilariously described as ‘suntouched tomatoes’ – I’m guessing some trademark issue with the more commonly used phrase of ‘sunblushed’ – were accompanied by a tomato and cucumber salad which, being a cucumber dodger I left but was pleased to see it packaged separately so it didn’t pollute the rest of my lunch or make it all slimy.  Admittedly it’s not the best breath choice given all the garlic and if you have any meetings planned I’d advise caution, or at least some mints, but it was a great alternative to what is becoming a monotonous lunchtime routine for me involving some sort of claggy pasta salad or Boots’ depressing veggie sushi.

Leon, Tortilla, Itsu, Chipotle – please hurry up and expand.  Us veggies need you!  But at least now we have another option in the meantime.  Visit www.starbucks.co.uk for more information on Bistro Boxes and their other food offerings - helpfully they also include full nutritional information, something other brands should catch on to.

HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY LAZY OAF!

Looking forward to the party tomorrow!

I may also help them celebrate by ordering the back-in-stock Burger Hat (as seen many times recently on one of the X Factor girls) to go with my much complimented/laughed at sweatshirt, pictured below - not on me, clearly - and one of these brilliant 'Come Classy, Leave Trashy' T's.

Maybe I should make them some of my Burger Cakes too as a thank you for all the amazing stuff they've contributed to my wardrobe over the past few years...

Get on over to www.lazyoaf.co.uk - I honestly can't recommend this lot highly enough.

DIARY DATE: LOUBOUTIN'S FIRST UK RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION

Litigious WAG fav Christian Louboutin has kindly announced that he will be launching his first ever UK retrospective next March to celebrate my birthday.  OK so that's not strictly true, it's to mark his 20 year anniversary in the luxury footwear industry, but the date couldn't be closer, taking place at London's Design Museum from 28th March to 1st July 2012.
According to the press release the exhibition which will be created by the team behind the interior of Shoreditch House and the Christian Louboutin pop-up at Selfridges, will include "an in-depth insight into the design process, detailing how the shoe is made from beginning to end with a special focus on the origins of the trademark red sole. Visitors also get to find out how the brand approaches sales, store design and marketing, as Louboutin famously does not advertise."  Intriguing stuff, though personally I'm more interested in whether there will be any Mad Mary Janes (above) in a size 41 going spare/left unguarded.
For more details keep an eye on the Design Museum or Christian Louboutin websites.
