LOVE My Bunny Phone!

Totally loving my new Rabbito bunny cover for my iPhone 4 - how cute are the ears??  The fluffy tail is actually really clever - it's a faux fur covered ball that suctions on to the back of your phone to act as a stand and you can take it off when you're not using it. I got my zingy yellow cover (so Easter) from Amazon where they're around £3-£10 depending on your colour choice.

Oscars 2012 - My Red Carpet Winners

Michelle Williams in coral Louis Vuitton

The TV coverage was absolutely shocking - if you're doing Red Carpet shows then please show us the red carpet! We don't want to see polls about who's going to win what taking up the whole screen, we don't want to hear what the kid off Modern Family thinks about anything at all, we want to see the outfits!  So simple but every channel seems to get it so wrong. Anyway, rant over and back to the dresses.  It wasn't a particularly great year for Oscars fashion for me, with no real WOW moments, but there were still some great looks, including...

1. Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton (above) - top spot for her attention grabbing colour choice and fashion forward gown with that on trend but entirely impractical for an Awards ceremony peplum. Gorgeous jewellery but could have done without that random pink clutch.

2. Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford.  A sleek and edgy choice from Gwynnie.  Nice to see her taking a bit of a risk and changing her hair up too with the floor length cape putting a red carpet twist on what would otherwise have been a very simple wedding dress.  Loving the cuff.

3.  Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace.  The overall look of this black velvet dress with the softer, blonder hair and glossy lips gave Angelina a softer look than usual but it wasn't without drama thanks to the gown's structured, asymmetric bodice and THAT slit.  Her right leg already has it's own twitter. Love it.

4. Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen.  Originally placed a lot higher in my Best Dressed list, The Help star's heavily embroidered McQueen creation was just exquisite.  Her softly waved half up - half down hair (which was beautifully coloured) and neutral make up kept her polished but let this statement dress do all the talking.  A great red carpet moment.

5.  Milla Jovovitch in Elie Saab Couture.  An early arrival, Milla was originally my number one red carpet choice, working the embellished bridal white trend so successfully and oozing old school Hollywood glamour from every supermodel pore. Her make up was divine and this was a true starlet look from perfectly coiffed head to crystal encrusted toe. Safe but still perfection.  And props to her for working that dress like a true pro - that thing must weigh an absolute tonne.

Penfield 'Gillman' Fair Isle Puffa Gilet

Loving the multi-coloured fair isle-bordering-on-aztec patterning of this Limited Edition Penfield 'Gillman' body warmer which makes a cosy, throw-on alternative to bulky coats and puffa jackets now the temperatures are starting to rise.  The detailed knitted panelling on the yoke and hand warmer pockets, as well as the lining, is a special collaboration between Penfield and Scottish family wool company, Jamieson's, using their exclusive Shetland Wool. Super snuggly!  Ltd. Ed. Penfield Gillman vest in navy, £250 from Flatspot.com

Brit Awards 2012 Star Style - Adele, Rihanna & Jessie J WOW (didn't Cher Lloyd look nice too?!)

The girls done good! Adele, who won two Brit Awards at last night's ceremony, stole the show - with the biggest, most perfect hair. Thankfully she changed out of the matronly, ageing Burberry number she walked the red carpet in, switching to the gorgeous custom Clements Ribeiro dress featured above for her performance.

Red was the colour of the night with Lana Del Rey wowing in a Vivienne Westwood gown, Jessie J's show-stopping sheer lace Falguni & Shane Peacock frock (which kept getting ripped as guests trod on it..) and Emma Bunton looking cheerily stunning in a red lace shift. Front row fashion girls Rihanna and Florence Welch didn't disappoint either with Rihanna wearing a super sexy, floor length Givenchy Couture gown with long black leather gloves (disappointingly straw like hair though), and Florence working an intricate peach lace  train-trailing Alexander McQueen creation. Props to the Alexis Knox styling of Cher Lloyd too who scrubbed up remarkably well in a sparkly disco jumpsuit by Hasan Hejazi and zebra print Louboutins.  Chic high ponytail too - that's more like it!

Performance of the night for me goes to Outstanding Contribution to Music award winners, Blur, who performed the longest ever Brits set - 5 songs (Girls & Boys, Country House with Phil Daniels, Song 2, Tender and the beautiful This Is A Low).  Check out the video of their performances here.

Corrie Nielsen at London Fashion Week AW12

Something's been bothering me since I watched former Fashion Fund winner Corrie Nielsen's Autumn / Winter 2012 show via Livestream this London Fashion Week.  No, it wasn't the undeniable echoes of Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood in her designs, nor the wonder at why an American might chose to really run with such a strong Scottish theme (turns out her family roots were originally in the Highlands and this was about exploring her heritage). No, it was the voluminous creation pictured above.  The sumptuous, cocoon-like coat which envelopes the wearer in a luxurious, silky cloud. Please don't think me facetious but doesn't it remind you of the bin bags clothes you used to make in front of Blue Peter in the 80s...?  Split, scrunch-to-ruffle, staple then stick. It got in my head, now I can't see past it...

Supreme Spring / Summer 2012 Collection

Too cool for school New York skate empire Supreme has launched it's new Spring Summer 2012 lookbook online.

The new collection mixes the street style and utility the label is known for, with a real 50s Americana via vibe, from classic, preppy shirts, suede bomber and varsity jackets to Hawaiian print shirts, hoodies and - best of all - Schott x Supreme custom fit leather flying jackets with tropical lining.  There's plenty of retro, sports-inspired apparel too for this Olympics year, with baseball jerseys, athletics style running vests, and American football tees.  The caps are out of control this season with the soft camp caps, particularly the suede versions, and the 5 panel map of the world styles doing it best for me. There's the usual discreet to in your face logo-bearing basics and the Kate Moss T-shirt that's been all over the internet for the past week too as well as some great luggage in brilliant colourways - check out the awesome orange nylon utility bag below.

Here's my selection of the best of Supreme SS12 - check out www.supremenewyork.com for the full lookbook and to shop the collection after the drop on 1st March although it'll be available in store from 23rd Feb for everywhere apart from Japan who get it on Feb 25th.

Multi Coloured Crimps on the NYFW Catwalk

OK so I love me some Jeremy Scott, any FFYW reader will know that, though with his new collection for Autumn / Winter 2012/13 I found a lot of the looks a little flat and 'Cyber Dog'-slash-festival stall wear for my liking but OH the hair!  Check out the awesome crimped bleach blonde bobs with colour flashes to match the outfits from yesterday's New York Fashion Week show. Jezza always does give good hair... The 90s Bart Simpson prints and emoticon pieces were fun too as well as the multicoloured fur chubbies (I do hope it's faux though). Have a look.... Evening Biker Chic at AmFar Gala to Kick Off NYFW (and how SJP is style stalking me)

Not for the first time, SJP has been spotted working a trend I've written about previously - this time it was something from my HuffPostUK fashion and shopping blog, last time it was on my old blog.  I'm starting to think she might really be a fan... ;)

If you want to get Sarah Jessica Parker's gorgeous look from last night's AmFar gala that celebrated the start of New York Fashion Week, simply pair a great, classic biker jacket with your party gown and you're there.  Simples.  Check out my Huffington Post UK blog piece on pairing motorcycle jackets with eveningwear here..

Super Bowl 2012's Fashion Champions

For those of you who didn't stay up and haven't seen the rest of the internet yet, last night New York OWNED the Super Bowl.  The Giants won and pop stars everywhere got schooled by honorary Noo Yorker, Madonna.

Her Roman inspired outfits by Ricardo Tisci for Givenchy Couture were a bit meh really although the Like A Prayer gown, and even CeeLo's muumuu was MAJOR - great boots too.

Madonna's male back up dancers were in Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals - my FAVOURITEs!  How awesome are these tracksuits? Wantwantwant. Did you spot the custom crystal JS Wings sneakers too? BEYOND.

No pics available yet but Madonna's female back up dancers were in Wolford hosiery - the same style as previously seen on Beyonce and Katy Perry.  Watch the full half time SPECTACULAR (in your faces, BEP - shown up by a 53 year old... shame) here...
