No Ferris Bueller Sequel, it's 'Matthew's Day Off' Ad for Honda

Dammit!  Great ad though, props to the bods who came up with this for Honda's Superbowl slot.  Watch the whole ad here:

Sportmax Pastel Fade Heels & Matching Hair

I am so coveting these Tiffany blue/green coloured heels with the faded pastel heels from Sportmax that I saw in the Observer.  I'm not quite sure why but they make me want to lick them - maybe it's a subconscious ice cream type thing.  I'm really into fades at the moment from these heels to my hair which is currently an autumnal dark auburn fading through a variety of reds through to strawberry blonde ends that border on the colour of Fruit Salad Chewits, although I'm feeling one of these looks as my next hair move...  Check out Bleach London's site for more work-unfriendly hair dyespiration.

Rankin x Kipling for the Belgian Bag Brand's 25th Birthday

How cute is this heart shaped Kipling rucksack?  Sadly, it's not being produced, it's just for this image - iconic British photographer Rankin's piece for Kipling's 'Play With Bags' anniversary artist project to celebrate the Belgian brand's 25th birthday.  I suggest getting in touch with them on Facebook or Twitter @KiplingOfficial to ask if they'd put it out - don't ask, don't get!  View the classic Kipling bags and rucksacks that inspired this and a host of other hand picked artists' who contributed to the project including Vincent Gapaillard and Li Wei, at www.25yearskipling.com

YAY FERRIS

Ferris Bueller's back!! ...Or is he?  This teaser for a Superbowl ad has just gone viral - we'll have to wait until 5th Feb to find out what exactly's going on though.  Please let it be a really great sequel....!

Jeffrey Campbell Shoes at Harvey Nicks!

STOMPSTOMP They've arrived!  Fashion forward, crazy cool LA-based shoe brand Jeffrey Campbell is now available in the UK from Harvey Nichols! The two unique styles featured here (above: Audrey PVC wedge platforms in Nude, £85; below: Rockaway cut out wooden sole wedge ankle boots, £100) characterise the quirky JC P-O-V and are my absolute favs.  More over on www.harveynichols.com.

Dear Karl...

Karl Lagerfeld, I love you, really I do, and I was crazy excited for your affordable diffusion line Karl to drop but what's with all the pictures of yourself on stuff??  Seriously?!  They don't sit right in the collection and look tacky (although not as cheap as the pleather fingerless gloves for Macy's - that range was a shocker...).  That said, the rest of it is hot hot H. O. T.  I want me a sequin biker jacket, a veggie-friendly faux leather pleated skirt and some of the gladiators for starters.

Check the new Karl line out for yourselves over at www.netaporter.com where it has an exclusive window from today.

New Hillier Heart Studs - Perfect for Valentines!

These cute little 18 carat gold chunky heart scribble stud earrings from one of my favourite jewellery designers, the wonderful Hillier London, remind me of the sleepers you used to wear when you first got your ears pierced. Their quirky, childlike quality made me smile so I thought I'd share... They'll be available from www.hillierlondon.com and various Hillier stockists.

MOSCHINO CHEAP AND CHIC TO SHOW AT LONDON FASHION WEEK!

HOW EXCITING!!  OK so Milan's still got the mainline but how cool is it that Moschino has chosen to show its more fun and youthful line - Cheap And Chic - in London?  Err VERY.

The Autumn/Winter 2012-13 Cheap And Chic show will take place on 18th February at an as yet undisclosed location and is sure to be one HOT ticket.

All images: Moschino's SS 12 show courtesy of Style.com
“To debut in London with Moschino Cheap And Chic is something I have been thinking about for a while. To have presence in a new city gives the younger line a stronger, more autonomous personality.

London is renowned for its contemporary style and famous sense of humor making it the perfect place to exhibit Moschino Cheap And Chic’s DNA and energy.

I’m sure London will be the appropriate platform for this line to grow whilst still remembering its roots”  - Rosella Jardini, Creative Director - Moschino

WHAT'S WITH ALL THE SKELETONS, PEOPLE?

New work from French illustrator and street artist, Monsieur Qui in Paris

New work from the amazing Portugese street artist, Vhils

Is this new street art inspired by Lady Gaga's buddy, the Canadian model, Rick Genest aka Zombie Boy?  (street art images courtesy of one of my favourite sites, Wooster Collective, Zombie Boy images courtesy of the wonderful Nicola Formichetti)

Or maybe it's all part of the 90's revival and it's actually inspired by Robbie Williams' 'Rock DJ' video :)

SO CLEVER - VINTAGE JELLY MOULD LIGHTS FROM RE

I've only just discovered the wondrous Northumberland store, RE, which specialises in locally made, original, recycled products and found objects.  More about them soon but for now, how cool are these quirky vintage jelly mould lights (£48 each)?  Check out the online store at www.re-foundobjects.com and keep an eye out for their 700sq foot, 4th floor permanent store-in-store which opens at Liberty in March selling rare, recycled, rescued and restored homewares and accessories.  You can also visit them at their Corbridge shop, half an hour from Newcastle, at Bishops Yard, Main Street, Corbridge, Northumberland NE45 5LA.

KEDS FOR OPENING CEREMONY BASEBALL SNEAKERS

Not getting these beauts is one of the biggest regrets of my recent NYC trip (but luckily Opening Ceremony does ship to the UK so, as I'm poor now anyway, I'm putting them on my birthday list).  Order your exclusive Keds for Opening Ceremony leather baseball stitch kicks ($125) online now by clicking here.

PRINT JEANS - SO RETRO, SO NOW

These wicked new print jeans have a great late 80s/early 80s vibe.  I particularly love the Current/Elliott leopard print skinnies in pink or mint (above, £200 from Net-A-Porter) which give you a 2 for 1 on the trend front thanks to their bang on SS12 ice cream colours.  If only I could still fit in my rose print pastel jeans from M&S that I had in school, from the days when I bought clothes by age rather than size... (blurry old pic complete with Dash sweatshirt and German exchange student, below!).

High waisted chain print boyfriend jeans, £40 from ASOS.

Monochrome geometric print 90s style super skinny jeans, £40 from River Island.

Tripp NYC leopard print skinny jeans, £60 from Urban Outfitters.

Sass & Bide 'The Archetype' feather print skinny jeans, £215 from ASOS.

Roberto Cavali Python snake print purple jeans, £480 from Selfridges.

Pink floral rose print skinny jeans, £40 from River Island.

Superslim animal print jeans with ankle zips, £19.90 from Mango.

And a very blurry old pic of me (second left) in my favourite old M&S rose prints...

NEW SHOES! THANK YOU UPPER STREET

Check out my amazing new shoes that I designed myself on UpperStreet.com!

You may have read my feature on Upper Street on my Huffington Post UK blog when they launched their DIY range of ballet flats, but I wanted to share the finished product from my design experiment with you all as they're just SO cool!

They are high heeled platforms with an ankle strap in a mix of pony and snakeskin with patent toe caps, all black on black to accentuate the textures.

Not only are they well made, great quality and came in the most gorgeous packaging, but they arrive with an additional care package that includes gel insoles and heel inserts to prevent any kind of rubbing too - how thoughtful is that?!  Heels, flats, platforms, block heels, courts, ankle straps, stud detailing, Swarovski crystal trim... you name it, they most likely do it and if they don't, give them a shout to see if they can help as a special order - the Upper Street girls are super lovely and helpful.  It's such a fun process, especially if you decide to order and get to see what your dream shoes look like in real life!  Have a go at designing your own at www.upperstreet.com
