Jeffrey Campbell Gets All 90s Spice Girls On Lazy Oaf's Ass

Jeffrey Campbell is on a mission. The super cool American shoe designer was, until fairly recently, only stocked in the US, but now he's popping up all over the UK with the latest outlet being our laidback, fun fashion friends over at Lazy Oaf.

Seven exclusive styles including these fab Spice Girl inspired stack sole trainers just like the 1990s Buffalo platforms Sporty, Baby and Geri used to wear, and some signature spike designs with an urban edge and a sky high wedge. Get em while you can, I don't think these will be hanging around for long. www.lazyoaf.co.uk

Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals AW12 Animal Print & 90s

So, as promised, here's another look at some of the forthcoming Autumn/Winter 2012 Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals collection. These are some of my absolute favourite pieces from Jezza and great to see that he's sticking with the exaggerated tongue Instinct Hi sneaker silhouettes and reworking them in awesome animal prints and pop colours as well as the classic, tougher all black version.

Puffa jackets are massive for this winter but no-one's doing them quite like our Jeremy! Zebra, leopard, cheetah, pink, purple, mint, gold - he's thrown the lot in and this is what's stuck. I LOVE it and the fact you can match it with your trainers is double bubble.

Putting a fun spin on a proper old school 90s print trend, are these leopard print pieces below, pulling out a vintage Versace vibe but with added attitude and plenty of Mr. Scott's signature street cool. Nice Michael Jackson-esque trainers going on too with the buckle details and silver toe rims and that ladies black quilted leather jacket with the gold safety pins is just soooo Lil' Kim.

The full Jeremy Scott AW12 range for Adidas Originals (minus those controversial My Pet Monster shackle shoes which have now been pulled) will be available in stores and at www.adidas.com from July with these pieces dropping in October 2012.

Kate Spade New York Launches Bold New Bedding Range

Kate Spade New York is on a mission to bring their company philosophy - 'Live Colourfully' - into every aspect of our lives. Clothing - check, Accessories and footwear - check, check, Stationery - check, china, glasses, crockery and general home wares - check, check, check. Now there's also the newly launched Kate Spade New York bed linens to add to their lifestyle range too.

Bold prints and colours (like the Florence Broadhurst Japanese Floral monochrome motifs featured above) mingle with pretty embroidery in oh-so-NY fonts on pillows, quilts, shams - everything you could need to bring a bit of character and charm to your bedroom. As regular readers will know, I'm a big Kate fan so am hoping this crosses the pond soon.

Kipling's 'I AM' Bag Analysis Project featuring me!

It doesn't take an expert to work out that the contents of my handbag mean I carry too much stuff but when I was asked to take part in European bag and luggage brand Kipling's new 'I AM' campaign, where they would analyse the contents of my handbag from a photo, I thought it might be fun to see what all this stuff says about me and what's going on in my life right now (other than I need to edit).

So I tipped out my bag and, pictured above, boys and girls, is what I carry around with me - on a good day, at least. I'm still looking at this pic going "what? no tissues?? where are the pens?" etc. (I'm very much a 'just in case' kinda gal). I had to choose a word to describe what I was doing while I carried/lugged all this stuff about and finish the sentence 'I am...'.  After a lot more deliberation, discussion and thought than was probably necessary, I settled on 'I am pootling'. Cos that's what I do. I pootle. Simple as that.

When I have the professional's findings based on this photograph of one of my favourite handbags and the random toteable possessions contained within, I'll post them but for now, come get involved too! See the gallery of other bags pictured for the I AM project on Kipling's My Bag = I Am..? Pinterest board (mine's there to Like or Repin if you fancy), or submit your own via their Facebook page by clicking here.

PS. For anyone who's interested, the contents of my favourite (huge) old Marc by Marc Jacobs Aidan shoulder bag, are:-
2 x notebooks from Artbox, Marc by Marc Jacobs turnlock coin purse, Gloomy Bear drawstring used as a mini make up bag and filled with a MAC eyeshadow quad compact, Benefit Bad Gal eyeliner, lippies from Chanel and Topshop Make Up, Nanoblur, Pixi Beauty concealer compact, Philosophy mineral powder foundation and MAC Wonder Woman lipstick (both now sadly discontinued), Marc Jacobs Lola solid perfume ring and it's little leather bag, Laura Mercier Coconut and Almond hand cream,  Coca-Cola flavoured Lip Smackers lip balm, Duane Reade aloe vera hand sanitiser, Philosophy Pure Grace roll on perfume, mock croc Marc Jacobs Oyster card holder, Fuji FinePix F600 EXR digital camera in a case from Artbox, giant Lip Smacker lip balm in Candyfloss, Extra chewing gum in Apple Pie flavour (nommmm), travel size leopard print compact Tangle Teezer hairbrush, Nintendo DS (I love a bit of Professor Layton), Power Monkey travel iPhone charger, Ugly Doll key chain, glasses and case from Warby Parker, Carmex Healing Lotion moisturiser, scraggy half used packet of Panadol, Scope breath spray, Caitlin Moran's 'How To Be A Woman' and my old iPad in its little Marc by Marc Jacobs Dreamy sleeping bag case.   Ow, my neck.

Moby x Swatch Collaboration - 'Little Idiot' Watch

Awwwww... musician-slash-DJ-slash-artist, Moby has collaborated with Swatch to produce this limited edition 'Little Idiot' watch featuring his hand drawn doodles. Moby's sweet little alien illustrations are fun but still manage to echo his often melancholy musical leanings. Why so sad, Little Alien?

Strictly limited to 7,777 pieces worldwide, the Moby 'Little Idiot' watch is available now from selected Swatch outlets - see www.swatch.com for more info.

Rihanna Does Cutting Edge Comfort With Yeezy 2's in East London This Weekend

Loving this look from Rihanna who kept it low key this weekend as she set about the serious business of performing then partying in East London.

Sexy black leather and tough denim, luxed up with gold Egyptian style detailing and accessories - even her mic had a gold finish. Talk about attention to detail. Whilst her short shorts with fishnet cut offs got the Daily Mail in a tizz, and Rita Ora was spotted wearing the exact same Katie Eary digital leopard print t-shirt Rihanna had worn on stage at the Radio 1 Hackney Weekend, it was her feet that interested me.

Sporting the super hot, black Air Yeezy 2 sneakers - the latest killer Kanye West-designed drop from Nike - with their glow in the dark soles, it was great to see a female performer at a festival who wasn't in either crazy heels or wellies. Comfy can be cool too, girls! Especially when you do it like this.

Rita Ora Kicks It In Custom JW Anderson at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend

Jay-Z and Rihanna may have stolen the show at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend but Rita Ora brought some serious fashion game with this wicked J.W. Anderson stage outfit.

Made specially for her, the sporty three piece worked the menswear-as-womenswear trend, having been adapted from a men's look from the JW Anderson AW12 ready to wear line (pictured below).

Keeping it urban with some sweet Jordan IIIs, the cheeky matchy-matchy number was made up of high waisted, rolled trousers, a cropped tie waist shirt and boxy jacket, all in a fun cockerel print. This sports luxe look had definite new wave shell suit vibes to it - could it be true they're making a comeback..??

OPI Minnie Mouse Nail Polish Collection Launches

Who doesn't love a bit of Minnie style? Any regular readers will know I sure do. OPI - who do the best colour collaborations IMHO - have just teamed up with Disney to release this Vintage Minnie Mouse nail lacquer collection which comprises four polishes in varying shades of the prettiest pinks.

From left to right we have...
Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It - a confetti-style heart shaped glitter confection
I'm All Ears - hot pink
If You Moust, You Moust - Sugary sweet bubblegum pink
The Colour of Minnie - A cheery, cheeky cherry colour

All shades are £11 each (and these babies last FOREVER - I'm still nowhere near half way through my Alice in Wonderland collab polish from 2010) and you can find stockist info as well as doing a virtual try on of the polishes via a clever little tool that allows you to adjust skin tone and pick shades and even crackle finishes, over at www.opi.com

Rainbow Nail Art - Step by Step 'How To' Guide

As promised in my Revlon 'Style of Wight' post last week, here's that step-by-step 'How To' guide to recreating these Rainbow nail designs created by Jessie J's go-to nail gal, Jenny Longworth, at home.

Step 1: Apply your base coat to make your nail art last longer and prevent staining.

Step 2: Apply your base colour - here Jenny uses Revlon Nail Enamel in 'Dreamer'. She advises doing this in three strokes - one down the middle, then another either side.

Step 3: Paint a Rainbow! Using a fine nail art brush start the Rainbow by painting the bottom tier on first being careful not to overload the brush (blot any excess on a tissue).

Step 4: Using the white as a guide, add in your additional brightly coloured rainbow stripes, layering them above the white. Once you've built up your confidence using these shades, add in a darker stripe under the white one. Don't worry if you go over the edge of the nail - you can tidy this up using a concealer brush dipped in nail varnish remover afterwards. Some of the lighter colours may need a second coat but you can tidy as you go.

Step 5: Finally, seal the deal with a top coat making sure to 'float' it over the nails so as not to drag the polish.

Jenny used the following Revlon products to create this look:
Basecoat - Nail Enamel in Dreamer, Whitest White, Fashionista, Siren, Fushia Fever, and Sassy - Nail Art Detailer Brush - Topcoat.

First Ever Hello Kitty Beauty Spa Opens In Dubai

This is too cute. Hello Kitty has just opened up it's first ever beauty spa - complete with Hello Kitty Cafe -in Jumeirah, Dubai. Aimed at kids and old-enough-to-know-better adults, the plush pink beribboned beauty parlour has a treatment menu tailored to the age of their clients with only organic, sensitive skin formulations being used on the youngsters, whilst there's some harder core professional treatments for women.  I think this may be too much even for me but still, AWWWWW.

Head on over to www.gizmodiva.com for more pics and info.

Revlon 'Style of Wight' Festival Make Up Looks

I love make up but hate having to touch it up. I don't want to carry loads of products around, I never remember to bring my bag with me to the toilet anyway and I use all kinds of primer under waterproof everything in the hope it all just stays put.

Revlon seem to be thinking along the same lines as they've put together this 'Style of Wight Festival Survivial Kit' all ready for this weekend's Isle of Wight Festival where they're the official backstage make up experts this year. If, like me, you're into minimal effort, maximum staying power beauty - this is one for you.

Crack Revlon ace and celebrity make up artist, Lee Pycroft, knows the score, advising festival-goers to aim for a clean, dewy skinned look with an outdoorsy flush of colour. She says"Fake a modern, flawless glow and aim to hide the multitude of sins created by sleeping in a tent or partying too hard!”.

Revlon PhotoReady Eye Brightener and Primer (£9.99) and their PhotoReady Crème Blush in Pink (£7.99) will take care of that, whilst the rest of the Revlon Style of Wight Festival Survival Kit is made up of  Just Bitten Kissable in 'Lovesick' (£7.99), Revlon Nail Enamel (£6.49) to cover up inevitably filthy festival nails, Revlon Liquid Quick Dry to seal your colour and prevent smudging (£6.49), PhotoReady 3D Mascara (£10.99) and ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner Pen £6.99.

Peacock nails!
In addition, top nail artiste and Revlon brand ambassador Jenny Longworth, whose clients include Jessie J, is creating various nail designs backstage. Three of my favs are pictured here - how cute are the rainbows below?? For those who like to go DIY, check back on Monday for a step-by-step guide on how to re-create the Rainbow nails at home.

Wake Ya Neck! Eye Popping Costume Jewellery Necklaces

The pop colour jewellery trend just won't quit. It's a great way to experiment with bright new shades, neons or just to perk up a dull black outfit and add some personality. I love a bit of chunky costume jewellery and these examples are a great place to start.

Colourful as ever, Kate Spade New York has probably my favourite selection of eye-catching statement necklaces (just one example pictured left but there are loads more) and you can lock that look in with a matching ring, bangles and stud earrings too. J Crew's SS12 bubble necklace (pictured centre and available from www.net-a-porter.com) meanwhile is being royally ripped off across the High Street, and Zara's covetable neon lime affair, pictured right, at just £15.99 is a lot more affordable than very similar designs by the awesome Mr. Tom Binns.

Zara Black Rabbit Umbrella - Creepy or Cool?

Whaddya think? It's definitely a bit sinister but I'm kind of into the Tim Burton-esque vibe of Zara's Black Rabbit umbrella (£15.99).  It's without doubt an interesting take on brolly totes, with the added bonus of not being something you'll forget or get mixed up in a hurry, although if you're not still in school, it will make you look slightly deranged. But as regular readers of this blog will know, I don't mind that.

Natural Fashion History - The Trainersaurus

No, it's not one of Jeremy Scott's latest summer shoes (though I SO wish it was!), this fab little resin Superstar skull, cast from the legendary adidas sneaker is ART, DAHLING.  Which explains the hefty £2,500 price tag.  The awesome 'Trainersaurus' is available in a variety of colour ways from When Superstars Ruled the World, they come in an adidas branded wooden  travel and display case - they're highly limited too. For more info or to buy, visit www.whensuperstarsruledtheworld.com

Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals AW12 Collection Preview!

One part all-American jock, one part every day objects, three parts psychedelic acid trip on holiday in Hawaii in the early 90s, whizz it up et VOILA! One Jeremy Scott x Adidas Originals Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, good to go. Or at least half of it...

Here's a quick preview of some the craziest pieces to look forward to from Jezza for AW12 which will be dropping from August.  Loving the butterfly hoody and wedge heeled boots!  Really cute new furry JS wing trainers for next season too (and they come in both adult and kids' sizes again) and another brilliant varsity jacket. There are some pretty wacky teddy bear looks, bigger, bolder and totally more out there than anything he's given us before! Check back soon for images and info re. the killer animal print mash up pieces - they're fun but totally wearable and going right on my Christmas list!

You'll be able to shop these from July at www.adidas.co.uk/originals and can still get his Spring Summer range including the Stars and Stripes Wings sneakers, my fav tape measure tracksuit and the music note ones worn by Madonna's back up dancers at the Superbowl last year, by clicking here.

Featured items - Top image L-R: JS Women's Bear Hoodie, JS Bear hi top trainers, JS Bear Suspender Pants, JS Women's Butterfly Jacket and JS Wings Wedge. Second image L-R: JS Varsity Jacket front, JS Kimono Jersey, JS star print Sweat Pants and back picture of the Varsity Jacket. Puma x Alexander McQueen - Fancy Footwear

How fine are these silky new Pink Deck Lo sneaks??  Loving the sophisticated satin-like finish and berry-and-black colour palette with a suitably chunky white sole pulling it all together. Interesting how the Alexander McQueen logo is just as prominent as the Puma one too - that's pretty unusual for collab shoes. These really are a cut above and are so much better than a lot of the nasty Euro-trash style trainers other high end fashion brands are currently churning out under their own labels. Props to Puma and the house of McQueen. These are functional, fashion forward and fancy. They were available from Kith NYC and www.kithnyc.com but are currently sold out so check back for restocks.

Vans x Supreme Cord Toe Authentics

There's another awesome collaboration from elitist urban fashion dons Supreme and all American skate brand Vans on it's way. Loving this spin on the Authentic shoe style featuring the classic monochrome checks and fresh cord toe detail. Drops at Supreme New York, LA, London and online from www.supremenewyork.com on 14th June, and available from Supreme Japan from 16th.

Patricia Field's Online Store Pick - Wonderful Wigs!

Flame haired fashion maven Patricia Field is probably best known for her work as wonder-stylist on Sex & The City, but if you're ever in NYC you must visit her store at 306 Bowery too. It's a veritable treasure trove of gaudiness and glitter, quirky accessories, in your face fashion and above all else, FUN. Every time I go in, it makes me smile.

If you can't get to New York though, her website now ships internationally and these awesome wigs will give you just a tiny taste of the kind of thing on offer. For drag, dress up or just, y'know, cos you feel like it, who wouldn't want a Hello Kitty wig??  Or, for when your Spirithood just isn't enough, how about the pink fluffy rabbit wig with the big ears? Have a look over at www.patriciafield.com

I Love My MTV - 90s Love for Pull & Bear Retro T-Shirts

The MTV logo is synonymous with 80s and 90s fashion. Since the revolutionary music channel's launch in 1981, the iconic motif has remained pretty much unchanged, although it has had a few little makeovers. Check these awesome ice-cream coloured tees, above, with a variety of classic MTV logos from Pull & Bear menswear (although these particular t-shirts are most definitely unisex).  Whilst over in their womenswear department, you'll find these hot little scoop neck vests featuring rockier neon and faded, vintage style zebra MTV logos.

At a totally reasonable £15.99 for the vests and £17.99 for the t-shirts, all available from www.pullandbear.com, I'm going for one of each of the T's to wear with my newly acquired Yo! MTV Raps Puma high tops, below, that I've been thinking about ever since I stupidly neglected to buy them when they first came out a few years back. Thank you eBay! I really do love my MTV.

Diamond Jubilee Nails - Exquisite Silver Sparkles

I can't tell you how much I love my sparkly silver nails right now. They were an experiment as a nod to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations but now I just want them all the time.

They shine and catch the light in the most beautiful way - the delicate grown-up glitter of Avon's Nailwear Pro + Starry Night polish is unlike any other silver nail varnish I've ever tried before. It really is just like liquid silver.

I used a couple of coats, then followed with Boots' No.7 Stay Perfect Silver Glitter Top Coat, dabbing tiny pretty pailettes on in clusters like little sprinkles of diamante.

This gave an expensive, manicure feel to the look and, unlike other home nail art products I've tried, the gorgeous glitter finish doesn't leave your nails all bumpy and weird looking, they lie totally flat. #LOVE

Avon Starry Night silver Pro + nail enamel, currently £2.49 from £6.00 at www.avonshop.co.uk
No. 7 Glitter Top Coat in Silver (also available in Gold), £8 and currently part of a 3 for 2 offer at www.boots.com

Henry Holland per Superga - Free Smiles With Purchase!

I adore Henry Holland. He's the most lovely chap and always has such a sense of fun about everything he does - at the launch of his hot new House of Holland line for Italian plimsoll titans, Superga, last night he told me he'd had a LOT of fun doing this too. Like we couldn't tell... these cheery sneakers are practically smiling.

The leopard print pumps are top of my Spring/Summer wishlist but it's the next range for Autumn/Winter (previewed in the four images directly above) with the red furry ankle trimmed mids, zig zag platforms and the ultimate in cheeky retro tennis girl style pom pom shoes that are my absolute must haves.

Prices are a lot less than I'd expected at a totally reasonable £55-£70 a pair which kind of makes you think that maybe buying more than one pair is absolutely justifiable.

Visit www.superga.co.uk to view the entire Spring/Summer 2012 House of Holland per Superga collection.
