Moby x Swatch Collaboration - 'Little Idiot' Watch

Awwwww... musician-slash-DJ-slash-artist, Moby has collaborated with Swatch to produce this limited edition 'Little Idiot' watch featuring his hand drawn doodles. Moby's sweet little alien illustrations are fun but still manage to echo his often melancholy musical leanings. Why so sad, Little Alien?

Strictly limited to 7,777 pieces worldwide, the Moby 'Little Idiot' watch is available now from selected Swatch outlets - see www.swatch.com for more info.

New Gent Lacquered Swatch Watches - WANT

Hot drops over at Swatch with these New Gent Lacquered watches. Each one is unique as all the inner workings are made up of different coloured parts with the colours chosen at random every time.  These remind me so much of the late 1990's 'swiss made' designs I wore at school and lovingly fashioned screen guards for out of rubber bands during geography (sorry Mr. Williams). LOVE! £47.50 each over at www.swatch.com

WATCH THIS WAY: KID ROBOT X SWATCH

As you may have guessed, I'm a sucker for all things 80's/90's, colourful, playful, pop-py and fun, so when I saw these this morning on Highsnobiety, I gave a little scream - aren't they amazing??

This, the latest Swatch collaboration is with kidult toy emporium par excellence, Kid Robot, comprises eight designs, each based on and accompanied by a customised rabbit-like Dunny - one of the American brand's best-loved collectible vinyl figures.

The designers featured in this, Kid Robot's first project with the Swiss watchmakers, are: Gary Baseman, Jeremyville, Joe Ledbetter, MAD, surrealist illustrator Tara McPherson, SSUR, graffiti guru Tilt and Frank Kozik - creator of another iconic vinyl toy character, the Smorkin' Labbit, which features here on his yellow Swatch.

Released internationally in September for $70 each (UK price unconfirmed) or $1,500 for a full set in a limited, numbered edition (300 available) presentation case with one of Kozik's 20" figures. Kid Robot will also release their own Dunny Deluxe Swatch watch with accompanying figure exclusively from their etail site, kidrobot.com for $60 shortly.

These may be the only watches I've seen - aside from another excellent recent Swatch collaboration with my fav sportswear maestro, Jeremy Scott - that could get me to switch from a digital. Doesn't this one remind you of Dizzee Rascal's art director, graphic designer Ben Drury?
