Wake Ya Neck! Eye Popping Costume Jewellery Necklaces

The pop colour jewellery trend just won't quit. It's a great way to experiment with bright new shades, neons or just to perk up a dull black outfit and add some personality. I love a bit of chunky costume jewellery and these examples are a great place to start.

Colourful as ever, Kate Spade New York has probably my favourite selection of eye-catching statement necklaces (just one example pictured left but there are loads more) and you can lock that look in with a matching ring, bangles and stud earrings too. J Crew's SS12 bubble necklace (pictured centre and available from www.net-a-porter.com) meanwhile is being royally ripped off across the High Street, and Zara's covetable neon lime affair, pictured right, at just £15.99 is a lot more affordable than very similar designs by the awesome Mr. Tom Binns.

Disney x Swarovski Crystal Jewellery Collection 2012

Whether you're into your Disney or not, the Disney 2012 range for Swarovski is subtle enough to go unrecognised to the untrained eye.  Delicately gothic pieces featuring crystal roses and thorns inspired by Sleeping Beauty (I die for the looking glass chandelier earrings pictured below) sit alongside Snow White looks of pierced jewel heart jewellery.  There are a few more playful, traditionally cartoony pieces too like the sparkly jet Minnie Mouse drop earrings and heart pendant pictured below and a fun Cheshire Cat necklace. Having bagged myself the much coveted Neneh Cherry style Versace x H&M leopard print bomber, the next thing on my wish list is this, Givenchy's heavy weight gothic style black metal and resin double cat head chain necklace. Yes, ok, so it looks a bit like a gargoyle or a door knocker but I don't care, I LOVE it.
