Multi Coloured Crimps on the NYFW Catwalk

OK so I love me some Jeremy Scott, any FFYW reader will know that, though with his new collection for Autumn / Winter 2012/13 I found a lot of the looks a little flat and 'Cyber Dog'-slash-festival stall wear for my liking but OH the hair!  Check out the awesome crimped bleach blonde bobs with colour flashes to match the outfits from yesterday's New York Fashion Week show. Jezza always does give good hair... The 90s Bart Simpson prints and emoticon pieces were fun too as well as the multicoloured fur chubbies (I do hope it's faux though). Have a look.... PRINT JEANS - SO RETRO, SO NOW

These wicked new print jeans have a great late 80s/early 80s vibe.  I particularly love the Current/Elliott leopard print skinnies in pink or mint (above, £200 from Net-A-Porter) which give you a 2 for 1 on the trend front thanks to their bang on SS12 ice cream colours.  If only I could still fit in my rose print pastel jeans from M&S that I had in school, from the days when I bought clothes by age rather than size... (blurry old pic complete with Dash sweatshirt and German exchange student, below!).

High waisted chain print boyfriend jeans, £40 from ASOS.

Monochrome geometric print 90s style super skinny jeans, £40 from River Island.

Tripp NYC leopard print skinny jeans, £60 from Urban Outfitters.

Sass & Bide 'The Archetype' feather print skinny jeans, £215 from ASOS.

Roberto Cavali Python snake print purple jeans, £480 from Selfridges.

Pink floral rose print skinny jeans, £40 from River Island.

Superslim animal print jeans with ankle zips, £19.90 from Mango.

And a very blurry old pic of me (second left) in my favourite old M&S rose prints...

MARC BY MARC JACOBS REWORKS CLASSIC 90S TRAVEL FOX KICKS

I've no idea if it was deliberate or not but my fashion hero Marc Jacobs has concocted the most perfect Travel Fox tributes EVER.

These hidden-wedge soled colour blocked hi tops (above) were shown in his recent Spring Summer 2012 Marc by Marc Jacobs line show at New York Fashion Week.  Aren't they totally like a fashion forward update on the cult 1990s Travel Fox trainers sported by the likes of Neneh Cherry and that model who fronted Black Box but turned out to be miming? Knackered old Travel Fox pictured below or you can find fresher pics on Flickr here. What do you think?

HAUTE 1990's STYLE FROM DIOR COUTURE

Somewhat understandably given recent goings on at the Paris fashion house, Bill Gaytten's Fall 2011 Haute Couture collection for Christian Dior was a bit of a mish mash of styles and colours pillaged from across the decades which, whilst not hanging together well as a collection for me, demonstrated some flashes of absolute brilliance.

Who would have thought of elevating 1990's leisurewear patterns to the ultimate luxe level?

Fresh, fitted and fun to relaxed glamour and dreamily flirty, the colour palette ran the spectrum from ice cream parlour pastels to earthy autumnal riches with hints of metallics.

Apparently Mr. Gaytten has not actually been confirmed as John Galliano's permanent replacement - hopefully this is enough to get him through to the next round at least - I want to see MOREMOREMORE from him!

These pictures show my perfect looks from the Dior Haute Couture catwalk... See the full collection on Style.com here.
