OPI Minnie Mouse Nail Polish Collection Launches

Who doesn't love a bit of Minnie style? Any regular readers will know I sure do. OPI - who do the best colour collaborations IMHO - have just teamed up with Disney to release this Vintage Minnie Mouse nail lacquer collection which comprises four polishes in varying shades of the prettiest pinks.

From left to right we have...
Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It - a confetti-style heart shaped glitter confection
I'm All Ears - hot pink
If You Moust, You Moust - Sugary sweet bubblegum pink
The Colour of Minnie - A cheery, cheeky cherry colour

All shades are £11 each (and these babies last FOREVER - I'm still nowhere near half way through my Alice in Wonderland collab polish from 2010) and you can find stockist info as well as doing a virtual try on of the polishes via a clever little tool that allows you to adjust skin tone and pick shades and even crackle finishes, over at www.opi.com

Disney x Swarovski Crystal Jewellery Collection 2012

Whether you're into your Disney or not, the Disney 2012 range for Swarovski is subtle enough to go unrecognised to the untrained eye.  Delicately gothic pieces featuring crystal roses and thorns inspired by Sleeping Beauty (I die for the looking glass chandelier earrings pictured below) sit alongside Snow White looks of pierced jewel heart jewellery.  There are a few more playful, traditionally cartoony pieces too like the sparkly jet Minnie Mouse drop earrings and heart pendant pictured below and a fun Cheshire Cat necklace. Shop the full collection on www.swarovski.com

Sleeping Beauty Looking Glass earrings, £61, Thorn and rose ring, £59, necklace, £61 and bangle, £102, Snow White earrings, £79.

Minnie Mouse earrings, £67, Minnie Mouse heart pendant, £61, Snow White pierced heart chain, £61 and earrings, £99.

Perfect Everyday Summer Sandals from adidas Originals Blue

Just putting this out there: I don't really like sandals.

There.  I said it.

I don't like having my toes out for all kinds of reasons - fear of tube crushing, mental scarring from how hilarious my boyfriend and brothers find my long 'finger' toes - cheers boys - and physical scarring from three years of trying to break in my 3.1 Philip Lim Birkenstocks (I know, right? Shocking but they are the least comfy things ever and slice through my heels every wear, yet I persevere).

Very occasionally I can be swayed from my go to summertime Vans and these adidas Originals Blue collection babies are just the things to do it for me this season.  I love the canvas strapping that looks like wrist wraps for boxing and puts a sporty spin on the ubiquitous gladiator style.  Edgy yet comfy, with nothing that can saw through my baby soft feet (a side effect of constantly wearing trainers instead of 'proper shoes' if my granny is to be believed) and in a great neutral colour way that makes them the perfect basic summer shoe.  Just don't laugh at my toes, please.

Kate Spade 'Women for Women' Accessories - Conscious Consumer Cool

The Kate Spade girl doesn't just 'live life in colour', she also has a big heart.  Check these zingy new pieces from the New York brand's Hand in Hand collection created as part of its latest campaign - the Women for Women project, giving support to women in war-torn countries across the world. The friendship bracelets in juicy citrus colours with gold Kate Spade logo charms, the shaggy fringe clutch and beaded links necklace are my absolute favourites. For more details about the project or to shop the charity-minded collection go to www.katespade.com

Pete Doherty's Clothing Line for The Kooples

Doesn't wor Pete (the Birthday Boy - 33 today - Happy Birthday, sir) scrub up well? This is him modelling the line he designed for super cool French fashion brand, The Kooples (which goes by the dodgy-band-like name 'Peter Doherty & The Kooples') which comes out on 14th March. The men's collection is a nifty mix of bohemian indie boy about town and quirkily styled retro geezer with that slightly-too-small charity shop chic. His on/off girlfriend, the doe (Doh?) eyed model Irina Lazareaunu models the women's designs which all have a relaxed, vintage charm to them and a subtle sexiness. (Lock & Co.) Hats off to the boy.  It's a good look.

BOY London 2012 Collection Selling Fast At Selfridges

OK so after Rihanna worked a straight up original 80s BOY look on the Jonathan Ross Show the other week, everyone knows that BOY London is back.  The underground fashion label which was founded in 1977 became famous for its iconic logo print designs worn by every top popstar in the early 1980s, has been enjoying a resurgence with those early-adopting East London hipster kids for over a year now thanks to vintage eBay finds and capsule collections via the likes of Urban Outfitters.  Now though, the whole SS 2012 retro BOY London collection is available in the UK exclusively at Selfridges, both in store and online at www.selfridges.co.uk.  Here are some of my favourite bits but check the site for the whole collection - or at least what's left as it seems to be going FAST!

HAUTE 1990's STYLE FROM DIOR COUTURE

Somewhat understandably given recent goings on at the Paris fashion house, Bill Gaytten's Fall 2011 Haute Couture collection for Christian Dior was a bit of a mish mash of styles and colours pillaged from across the decades which, whilst not hanging together well as a collection for me, demonstrated some flashes of absolute brilliance.

Who would have thought of elevating 1990's leisurewear patterns to the ultimate luxe level?

Fresh, fitted and fun to relaxed glamour and dreamily flirty, the colour palette ran the spectrum from ice cream parlour pastels to earthy autumnal riches with hints of metallics.

Apparently Mr. Gaytten has not actually been confirmed as John Galliano's permanent replacement - hopefully this is enough to get him through to the next round at least - I want to see MOREMOREMORE from him!

These pictures show my perfect looks from the Dior Haute Couture catwalk... See the full collection on Style.com here.
